How to Add Custom Tokens to your MetaMask Wallet

  1. Open MetaMask: Click on the MetaMask extension icon in your browser to open your wallet.

  2. Go to Assets: Ensure you are on the Assets tab.

  3. Import Tokens: Scroll down and click on the Import Tokens button.

  4. Enter Token Details: In the Search field, if the token doesn’t automatically appear, switch to the Custom Token tab. Here, you'll need to enter the Token Contract Address, Token Symbol, and Decimals of Precision. These details should be provided by the token's project website or official documentation.

  5. Add Custom Token: After entering the token details, click on Add Custom Token.

  6. Review and Import: Review the token details and if everything is correct, click on Import Tokens.

Your custom token should now appear in your MetaMask wallet under Assets.

The MetaMask vault is a secure storage mechanism for your cryptographic keys and assets. It encrypts your private keys and stores them locally on your device, ensuring that only you have access to your accounts and funds. This encryption provides an additional layer of security when interacting with decentralized applications (DApps) on the Ethereum blockchain and other supported networks.
